Just north of the Georgia-Florida border, Kingsland is the southern trailhead of the Georgia Grown Hwy17 Trail. Kingsland’s restored downtown, known as the Royal District, features brick lined sidewalks, a restored train depot home to a model train exhibit, murals, unique shops and local restaurants. Kingsland is the ideal home base for vacationers looking for a diverse selection of outdoor activities. Ferry east across the intracoastal waterway to the maritime forests and pristine beaches of Cumberland Island. Head west where nature lovers enter the land of the trembling earth, the Okefenookee swamp. And trainwatchers from all over the world gather at the Folkston Funnel. Minutes east of Kingsland, the historic city of St Marys, welcomes visitors with picket fences, historic churches, museums, and waterfront dining.
